About the artist.

Meet Joseph, a marketing agency business owner who grew up listening to Ernie Harwell on warm summer days in his Grandmother’s backyard just off Van Dyke in Centerline, MI. Born and raised in Southeastern Michigan, Joe is a proud graduate of the College for Creative Studies, located behind the Detroit Institute of Arts. Joe’s journey in the advertising industry spans over 25 years, starting with J. Walter Thompson in Detroit, MI, where he contributed to the growth of clients like Ford Motor Company and White Castle.

Joseph is the Owner and Executive Creative Director of Brandtatorship, a boutique advertising agency in Rochester, NY. Standing tall at 6'4”, it’s little wonder Joe likes thinking big in his strategic approach to communications in all facets of advertising, both regionally and nationally. A song-and-dance and DJ man, Joe is also known as a nationally and internationally recognized Creative Director, where, throughout his career, he has played a pivotal role in shaping the brands of renowned companies such as Bosch, Textron, Scouting America, The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, and others.

Beyond his role at Brandtatorship, Joseph dedicates his time as the current Vice Chair of the American Advertising Federation's (AAF) National Council of Governors and as the Immediate Past Governor of District 2 of the AAF, overseeing local AAF chapters across NY, PA, MD, NJ, DE, and Washington, D.C., where he demonstrates commitment to the industry and his desire to guide and inspire fellow advertising professionals. His expertise shines across a diverse range of disciplines, including art direction, digital marketing, broadcast production, illustration, and social media. This multifaceted skill set allows Brandtatorship to thrive as a creative powerhouse. Forging innovative ideas and empowering clients to craft comprehensive and impactful campaigns that help them take charge of their brand.

Most days at Brandtatorship, you can find Joe in one of his many Tigers hats sporting the Olde English D. His summers are still defined by listening to the Tigers on the radio, now with Dan Dickerson. On Sundays, he bleeds Honolulu Blue and Silver, proudly waving his Lions flag for all his Buffalo Bills-loving neighbors to see.
